Golden Horn Old City Private Tour with Public Ferry
All the tours are done on foot or by public transportation.
Istanbul is situated on two continent, the part of Istanbul situated in Europe also divided in two part with another water called golden horn. This is also the most historical part of the city where ancient Constantinople was founded, surrounding with the ancient city walls. We visit Chora Museum, considered to be one of the most beautiful surviving examples of a Byzantine church. Chora is famous for its amazingly vivid and well-preserved mosaics and frescoes depicting images from the life of Jesus and the Virgin Mary. It is truly like a picture book and an experience not to be missed. The next stop would be Greek Orthodox Patriarchs church on the Golden Horn. For anyone with any sense of history, this site is as holy, as any holy site in Jerusalem. This church has more dignity, grace, and apostolic spirit, than Vaticano and the Moscow Patriarchate (or both combined). This tour also includes picturesque views of Constantinople’s old city walls.
